5. Micromax A110 Canvas 2 (Price: Rs 10,000)

Micromax Canvas 2 is very popular among those who want a large screen and gaming budget phone. It offers 5 inch IPS Display and dual sim card slots. The Phone's performance is smooth , thanks to the dual core 1 GHz Mediatek Processor underneath but dont expect it to run as smoothly as Xperia Sola or Xperia U Because Mediatek Chipset is less efficient. It has 512 MB of RAM , 8 MP Camera and runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Pros :

1. 1 GHz Dual Core Processor
2. 8 MP Camera with 720p HD Recording
3. IPS Display
4. Dual Sim
5. Android 4.0 ICS
6. Less Price

Cons :

1. Hardware Quality is not good.

4. Sony Xperia Tipo (Price: Rs 9,000)

Sony Xperia Tipo is a nice looking Budget Phone for Music Lovers. Xperia Tipo also comes with a dual sim version known as Xperia Tipo Dual available in market around Rs 10,000. So, This will also be a good choice for people who want a dual sim phone . The screen size of 3.2-inch might not allure many but at Rs. 9,000, the Xperia Tipo does bring some decent specs.

It has 800 MHz Cortex A5 Processor, Adreno 200 GPU, 512 MB of RAM , 3.15 MP Camera, 2.5 GB Internal memory and runs on Android 4.0 ICS.

Pros :

1. Light Weight
2. 2.5 GB internal memory
3. Android 4.0 ICS out of the box
4. Adobe Flash support
5. Decent Battery Backup

Cons :

1. 3.15 MP Camera (It should have been 5 MP instead).

2. Screen size is average. (3.2 ")

3. Samsung Galaxy S Duos (Price: Rs 14,500)

Galaxy S Duos is very nice looking and look alike of the famous Galaxy S III from Smartphones Giant Samsung. Although its design is similar to S III but its hardware is a big disappointment. Its performance is also not as smooth as other phones in same price range.

It has a 4.0-inch TFT Display, dual sim card slots, a 1 GHz Single Core Cortex A5 Processor, Adreno 200 GPU, 768 MB of RAM, a 5 MP Camera with VGA Recording and runs on Android 4.0 ICS.

Pros :

1. 4-inch Display
2. Android 4.0 ICS out of the box
3. Upgradable to v4.1 JellyBean.
4. 768 MB RAM
5. Attractive Design
6. Front Camera

Cons :

1. Sluggish Performance
2. Single Core Processor
3. HD Recording not supported

2. Sony Xperia U (Price: Rs 14,000)

The Sony Xperia U sits at the cheaper end of Sony's range of Android smartphones, using similar styling to the much larger Xperia S and the slightly larger Xperia P. Sony offers very good hardware specification that no other branded phone has in this price range. The phone's 3.5 inch screen may be a disappointment for some and non expandable memory can even be deal breaker for some. But the display is very sharp and everything looks very nice , thanks to Mobile Bravia Engine. The Phone can handle heavy apps and high end gaming , thanks to the powerful CPU and GPU.

And there's your big, exciting design feature - the strip lights up. In more than one colour. It's quite cool, especially when viewing photos in the gallery, because the Sony Xperia U detects the most prominent colour in the shot, then alters the colour of this strip accordingly.

It has a snappy Dual Core 1 GHz Cortex A9 Processor, the best in class Mali-400MP GPU, a 3.5 inch screen, 5 MP Camera, 512 MB of RAM, 8 GB internal memory (4 GB user available) and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Pros :

1. 1 GHz Dual Core Processor
2. Mali-400MP GPU
3. 5 MP Camera with HD Recording
4. HTML5 Support with Adobe Flash
5. Very Sharp Display
6. Mobile Bravia Engine
7. Timespace UI is very good
8. Transparent Light Strip
9. Front Camera

Cons :

1. Android 2.3 Gingerbread out of the box (But Upgradable to v4.1 JellyBean)
2. Average Battery Backup
3. Slightly Thicker
5. Non Expandable Memory

1. Sony Xperia Sola (Price: Rs 14,500)

Sony Xperia Sola is another Sony's Mid Range Budget Phone priced at Rs 14500 but you can find it somewhat less in price if you use your bargaining skills. Sony offers great design to its every phone and adopting the same strategy, the xperia sola has a very unique design.

The Xperia sola has the square front but not the curvature back of the NXT line. The trademark transparent, glowing strip of the new Xperia phones is also gone, and is instead replaced by an elongated LED under the display, where it stylistically juts out from the body. More of a standby breathing light rather than an event notifier, it emits occasional short glows and pulsates upon an incoming call.

The display is very sharp and has a very good resolution. Like the members of the Xperia NXT family, it's backed by the mobile BRAVIA display engine, a variant of what Sony use on their HDTVs.

It also has a Dual Core 1 GHz Cortex A9 Processor, a mali-400MP GPU, Mobile Bravia Engine , 512 MB RAM and a 5 MP Camera, the Same specs we found in Xperia U. But the Sola has advantage of a larger screen (3.7-inch), NFC technology, Floating Toch Technology and Expandable Memory Card Slot. But Sola has also a disadvantage of not having a front camera.

Pros :

1. 1 GHz Dual Core Processor
2. Mali-400MP GPU
3. 5 MP Camera with HD Recording
4. HTML5 Support with Adobe Flash
5. Very Sharp Display
6. Mobile Bravia Engine
7. Timespace UI is very good
8. NFC Technology
9. Floating Touch Technology

Cons :

1. Android 2.3 Gingerbread out of the box (But Upgradable to v4.1 JellyBean)
2. Average Battery Backup
3. Front Camera Missing
4. Non Removable Battery
